    £40250 gross

Okay so you know that the first £30,000 isn't taxable.

So that leaves £10,250 taxable plus the P45 income of £4600 = £14,850
  • Yes as I've thought all along. It is just getting HMRC to think along the same lines. They still want a P60 from me. I got a my latest P60 through the door this morning as requested earlier in the week and surprise surprise it was for 14/15 as stated by yourself.

Who has actually asked to see your P60? Have you had a letter specifically asking for a copy of it? If so then tell them you don't have one because you weren't employed at the end of the tax year.

If it's just to complete the renewal then if you agree with the figures they hold then it's enough to confirm that, you don't actually send them the P60.

Finally managed to get it sorted out and back into payment. It did take another two award notices, but we got there in the end.

    Many thanks all.
