Hi
Firstly I want to say my own laziness has made this mess and I accept consequences. Now I need help to fix it
I bought a motorbike from new in 2012. Since then I have moved house twice (once just recently) and never made the change on my bike.
I made the change on my Licence the first move but have yet to do it on the new move. So the address to send any replacements will not match what is on my licence
I have also lost my V5 in one of the house moves
I now need to SORN it by end of the month. Is there anything I can do?

Here's a tip. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) can be found...
ON THE VEHICLE.0 -

You could also try spending a few quid on putting the registration through the HPI websites - they may well confirm what the VIN should be, but others will be able to correct me on that if I'm wrong. Or phone the dealer you bought it from - they'll be able to point you to exactly where it is, or give you it over the phone. Do you not have any of the documentation that came with the bike when you bought it?
Your V5C doesn't have to match your licence address. Both have to be at an address you can be contacted at. Both are important documents with legal implications. If you're forgetting to change addresses on stuff like this, and losing it in moves, you really need to sort your organisation out.0 -
the vin number is on a plate or stamped in the frame , not the engine number.
perhaps telling us the make/model may help us to locate it.
you have got yourself into a pickle here , first and only thought is to go back to the dealers where you bought it from , and ask nicely , as they may have used your vin number when authorising warranty work , or setting up the sale .(register the bike with DVLA from vin number)
when you get this , and fill in online sorn all paperwork will go to your last registered addressSave a Rachael
