You post nearly every day on here and you don't even own a property. What does that say about you?
Desperate much?0 -

As I said, the wider UK property market is not about your situation, many will be straight into negative equity with much smaller price drops.0 -

How stupid are they. Could have just rented a studio flat or HMO for 20 yrs, sure they could squeeze the family in somehow and they'd probably save £100pcm in rent.
Sounds like a brilliant idea.
Or they could just get on with their lives and buy somewhere they can call home without worrying about upsetting the LL.
They could even buy a pet or decorate some walls.
Nah better off in the HMO waiting for a drop. Might be waiting 20 yrs and prices may have risen 200% but when they then drop 30% they can act smug and say "ha told you they would drop!".
Sounds like your winning anyway Crashy.0 -
The problem is though that for many they can't get the property in the first place to pay down the mortgage on! 10 x salary? You'll get laughed out of the bank. If this is presented as a look how similar things were then and now it fails.0

As you've been saying since 1996.
Whose turn is it to clean the house toilet?0 -

You just wait until that debt fueled mega ponzi bubble bursts, Mr. acorn!
http://www.scottishhousingnews.com/13667/study-forecasts-increase-of-scottish-house-prices-and-private-rents/According to the study, house prices in Edinburgh will increase by 23.4 per cent by 2021, almost double the UK average, and 4 per cent more than London. The report also revealed the extent to which the cost of renting will jump for similar reasons. By 2021 tenants will pay 20 per cent more rent in Edinburgh and 17 per cent more in Glasgow.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Oops.
Yeah, but if you choose to rent a cesspit the rent doesn't go up anywhere near as much.0 -

For an "owner" in such a comfortable position you sound very agitated sometimes. Why do you lurk here, why don`t you share your wisdom on the main board?0 -

Because taking the michael out of you and your predictions is quite hilarious.
I don't think you realise the comedy value that you bring to this forum.
You have no self awareness and it's hilarious. You're querying why a homeowner from England is commenting on house prices. Yet you're a self confessed forever renter living in a HMO in Scotland angrily slating home owners that have an interest re house prices in England.0
