House Insurance for rental property

Options
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a company for house insurance for a house that is going to be rented out? He has been quoted over £1000 for a small house in London - sounds excessive to me but maybe due to the fact that close to flooding prone area - not my house so only guessing at reason why. As don't live in London, I am not sure what the going price is.

Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if not posting in right place.

thanks, yas

If you're the landlord you should be researching specific landlord insurance, which can cover boiler repairs and the like. Some may even include legal advice so worth doing your homework.

If you're the tenant you only need to consider contents insurance, and only then if you've anything worth nicking (bike/electronics etc).

Search 'landlord insurance comparison' - there are sites which can run a comparison for you. Make sure they are only quoting for the building, not the contents insurance too.
