Drop in Credit Score

Hi
My wife and I are trying to obtain a mortgage offer at present. She is almost 5 years discharged bankrupt. I've been looking for a mortgage advisor, but in the meantime just out of curiosity I applied for a decision in principle direct from Nationwide on their website,
It was declined due to something on her Experian file (wasn't totally surprised). However, on checking this morning, her score has dropped 42 point and moved her rating from 'Fair' to 'Poor' which seems to have compounded the problem!
Doesn't seem particularly fair considering it was a single enquiry.
Anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
AK

Ignore it. Your score doesn't reflect how lenders see you.
One search will have limited impact, especially after a few months.0 -
The score is irrelevant its more a money making gimmick than a useful stat0

Could you get mortgage in sole name?
Don't worry about monthly fluctuations it seem arbitrary measure at best
Just carry on doing the right thingsDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -
