Wednesday 8th June- what small DFW things will you do today?

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

    Hi All,

    No nursery today for DD....

I forgot to add, I had an invitation to speak to my sons head teacher regarding my email before half term about attendance and him missing out on a certificate. He was impressed by my email, how I worded it and that as a parent I take attendance so seriously. He explained the grey area with children who have apppointments and therefore have to miss school, so they try to acknowledge them for excellent attendance, rather than perfect. I explained he should never have been sent home from school and I have explained the sickness issue with the school numerous times and how much we were looking forward to him achieving yet another full year without missing a day. He issued DS1 with a perfect attendance certificate dating back to September! :):):)

    - put a wash on for mum and hang out Done
    - re-wash and dry my wash that got caught in the rain yesterday  Done
    - pop into town to print return label and post parcel and collect jeans Done
    - take DS2 for his jabs They have run out of the BCG vaccine yet again!
    - cook some veggies and poach some pears for DS2's lunches/dinners Done
    - school run
    - have dinner at mums (I am cooking)
    - homework and spellings with DS1
    - sort a bundle of paperwork thats just sitting on the side gathering dust

I have more to do but it will probably have to wait until tomorrow!

Have a lovely day all! x

    Small things from today

    1) 6p roadkill
    2) 1 Evening meal for all of us. Serving the meat and sauce up first for DD and DS. Then will add the chunky veg and seasoning for us after. Saves time and money.
    3) Checked banking
    4) Walked as much as I could today
    5) Checked my ebay listings

Made contact with the solicitor that handled all the lease stuff when I set up my business & also sent an email to a lease valuation company who called me back to say the person I need would call me back. Although they didnt but I will follow it up tommorow. Im posting about it more to keep my own motivation up really.
As I said go my husband last night, I need to approach this winding down stage with all the energy I put into the set up but its hard because of time constraints. So one day at a time now.

Right bath and bed routines coming up. See you on the other side.
