Can't send text messages

I am on O2 PAYG on a Windows phone.

I received a text message this morning but when I try to either reply to that one, or send a new one to somebody else, I'm just getting "Can't send message. Try again".

Can anybody help please?

We are on Three. There were 2-3days where we had no network signal. Each of us thought it was our phone. When I finally complained to three they said they are carrying out repairs on a mast near our house. Something similar perhaps? Is anyone else in your household on the same network and having trouble sending text?

    I'm the only one here.

I am receiving texts, would I be able to if there was a network problem? It's sending them that's the trouble.

Intermittently we were able to send texts. Only we didn't know it was actually sent. On our side it looked as if it failed. My mum sent me 3 texts and called me on the landline to confirm.

Perhaps, simply, you've used your text allowance up? Text BALANCE to 20202

I can't send a text. I have plenty of credit on my PAYG a/c.

Have you checked the format of number you're sending it to?

When parent had this problem, the phone had decided to put the 44 Uk code in front of the number. Removing that and sticking the zero back in for mobile numbers did the trick.
