According to that test I am desperate to start having children, and seeing as I apparently want 3 dozen of them I'd better get started pronto
    Ermmmm....NO.

After a head injury during Army service and a series of 3 brain operations several years ago, I was checked out by an RAMC psychologist. I was found to have lost certain parts of my childhood memories. The tests I underwent consisted of Rorschach images and questions as to their meanings, followed by light hypnosis (I was aware throughout) and this:

imagine a completely empty room with one door. The walls are blank white and there are no windows. There is a plain table and one chair. There is a ball, which can be on the table or the chair. Which does it sit upon?
    I said 'Table'.
What position does the ball have upon the table?
    I said 'Centre'.
    What colour is the ball?
    I said 'Red'.
The table can be metal or wood. Which is it?
    I said 'Wood'.
The door opens and a child is standing in the doorway. Do you know this child?
    I said 'No'.
The test ended there and, based upon my answers to more questions about my family, I was informed that I had a small amount of memory loss.

The test here, tells me that I want loads of children. I have two and 4 grandbrats and am happy with that, but I do love kids: I am 71 and volunteer to read stories to a Primary School class. And yes, I have been checked out. Apparently I have loads of friends who all lean on me and am totally unstressed, which is about right.

I have served in a desert climate and lived through a desert storm, I was more enthralled than afraid. Seems that it was pretty accurate in my case.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

I think it was quite accurate for me. I pictured a big glass cube floating about a foot off the ground, with the ladder leaning on it, 3 flowers in front of it and the storm in the distance. The horse was the only thing that gave no answer, i just pictured a brown horse stood at the side of the cube with no saddle or reins which there was no answer for

  • Does the fact that I visualised a Rubik's Cube mean anything other than I'm very obviously a child of the 80s?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I visualised a rubik cube too, black plastic so not at all transparent, small & on the ground.
A wooden ladder nearby, about a metre away.
    A saddled & reined horse.
Storm almost overhead closing in, but I'm not afraid of storms.
A bunch of 12 red roses, totally out there, I have one grown up child.

    The rest quite accurate!

Apart from the flowers (as mine were in the horse's mane and bridle) - are you me?

I imagined it being opaque, which is me - not prone to discussing much of my personal life or deep emotional gubbins.

Cube on the ground and yes, don't get more grounded than me.

Ladder propped up on the cube made of wood - I make a lot of effort with friends and yes they can lean on me.

Horse was not 'wearing' anything and yes, least controlling person I know! As a manager I have no problem delegating just about everything.

One flower and nowhere near the cube - well I really don't like kids.

Storm was fairly near the cube, but I like storms. Does that mean I'm stressed, but not worried by it? Don't know, but it would be an accurate summary.

I like stuff like that, idles away a few minutes and no, I don't take them seriously.

That is uncannily similar to mine!

    Mine was quite accurate.

Size of cube was pretty spot on; on the smaller side. I have little self confidence so not a big ego.

My cube was clear glass or plastic so I'm very open with people. I'd say this is somewhat true. I am very shy at first with people but once I feel relaxed with them I'm very open.

Cube was on the ground so I'm very grounded. This is accurate.

Strong bonds with people. I'd say this is true!

My horse was free of saddle or reins so I don't like control in relationships. This i'd say is true as well as I always want his advice and don't like to be in control of decisions!

Only a few flowers, meaning a few children. I would like two at most. Flowers about 5ft away from cube. I would like children in no sooner than 4 years.

Not very stressed but a little, as storm was quite calm but was near.
