Newbie Reclaimer Natwest, Tesco and Paypal

Hi Everyone

I am pretty new to all this PPI claims stuff and thought I better get my skates on after hearing news of a deadline. I currently have a Tesco credit card and took out a graduate Natwest loan in 2011 and a Paypal credit card in 2009 (run by Santander), both have since been closed. The thing is that I don't know where to start. I only have the document showing the run down of things for Natwest, whilst I still have some Paypal statements. I have statements, the credit agreement and the T&C for Tesco but going through all the documents I can't tell if I have been charged with PPI. How can you tell??

I also phoned Natwest and Tesco and told them I believe I'm owed PPI and they simply did a short check and then done a Little Britain and just said no. I sense they say no to everyone in the hope that people accept that and go away, but I'm not going away. I'm just not sure how to go back.

Any ideas on what I need to do as I don't want to make a complaint blindly with out having any ammunition.

If you have PPI it will be clearly stated on your statement. If it's not there, you didn't have it.

They don't say no to everyone. They will say no if you don't even have the product.

If you didn't have Payment Protection Insurance (or if they no longer hold any records of such), you are indeed going away I'm afraid.

How can you "complain" if you didn't have the product?

You would see it being charged on the statement. The same would apply for Paypal.

In common with all the major banks, Nat West stopped selling single premium PPI in January 2009. So if Nat West are telling you that there is no PPI on the graduate loan you took out in 2011, there is a good chance they are telling you the truth.
