Claiming travel insurance

Hi

Just wanted to know if Travel insurance is like car insurance and becomes more expensive if you claim it.

    Most likely, as insurance is based on risk. You claim, and statistically you're a higher risk of claiming again.

    Most travel insurance applications don't require you to give a history of previous claims.

    Reading many reviews of people who have tried to claim it seems you would be one of the few lucky ones if you actually got any money back! They seem to keep making you jump through hoops to claim hoping you will eventually give up or wriggle out on technicalities or just plain don't respond.
