Extra Energy

In November 2015, approaching 83rd birthday, my son (Mark who lives with me), assumed responsibility to pay all household expenses.
Asked Extra Energy to put dual account into his name. EE couldn’t (or wouldn’t) replace ‘Norman’ with ‘Mark’ requiring a new consumers application. Outcome -I was charged early cancellation fees of 2 x £25 and the daily meter charge on ‘new’ gas account rocketed. Mark cancelled the application well within the allotted period and registered with OVO Energy. Whilst OVO have been able to process electricity they have been unable to get EE to “release” Mark from a contract that never existed. The usual plethora of estimated accounts have been sent by EE under cover of increasingly ‘serious’ warnings. Mark has posted four letters (2 ‘signed for’) and sent seven emails . All futile. Last month, matter passed to the Ombudsman Service hoping for a resolution before EE’s indefatigable computer next applies for the threatened CCJ.
