  • Bank Smart is a " huge scam company" who try to bully ordinary people
    who does not owe them a penny? They have been sending me a reminder that I owe them over £2600 since 2009 and I contacted them immediately by email but had no reply but they been sending me the letter and I ignored them because I did not owe them a penny so why should I bother and they do not reply anyway. In November 2016 they sent me a final notice that if I do not pay their dues by this date then they will take me to court owing over £3200 and the funny thing was that they have sent me a statement saying that I have paid £50 in 2012. That was a fraud, telling lie and why did they say that because if you owe someone money and there is no payment has been made for 6 years then the case will be automatically barred. They have caused me a lot of stress and I will take legal action against Bank Smart also complain to Finacial Ombudsman.

    Legal action is not recommended and the correct regulatory organisation to complain to is the LEGAL Ombudsman.

    He's just put a line break in by mistake lol

    Should read
    Bank Smart is a " huge scam company" who try to bully ordinary people who does[sic] not owe them a penny?

    Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

    People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

    Tapask, CMCs do read this boards and can complain to MSE if you use words like "scam" to describe their operations which are perfectly legal, even if their business model prays on people not knowing the process

  • I am sure they offer a No Win No Fee clause and if they don't, they should!!! How can I find this out and get them off our backs? We have today received another letter saying we owe them £480; I have contacted our local Citizens Advice Bureau and left a message asking them to contact us in order to make an appointment to discuss this matter with one of their staff and find a way forward.

    Read here;
    Have you used a CMC to reclaim PPI or other financial products and received poor service? The Legal Ombudsman is here to answer your CMC queries and concerns. We resolve complaints about legal service providers and CMCs and our service is free.

    It may be that your CMC has:
    • failed to do what they agreed
    • hasn’t handled your mis-sold PPI claim the way you expected them to
    • has been slow in responding
    • increased their charges without explaining why
    • unreasonably refused you a service
    • pressured you to accept a service you did not want
    We will investigate your complaint and if we decide the service you received was unreasonable, we can make sure your CMC puts it right.
