My son is travelling alone to South Korea in July to visit friends. I am trying to work out the best way of sending him with spending money. I am interested in prepaid travel cards but none of them seem to include South Korea on their list of currencies. Does anyone have any advice? Many thanks!

You don't need a prepaid card in the currency he'll be using. Get one in GBP, the currency will be converted when he spends or withdraws cash. And if you put too much on you don't have to convert back to GBP.
Have a search on the currency board for the latest recommended one.0 -
Depending on how well you know the friends, might it be an option for you to transfer Won to their account and for them to withdraw it and give your son the cash?
There are plenty of exchange companies around that would do it fairly cheaply.0
