PPI claims company used looking for advice

Hi was wondering if anyone could offer some advice my partner has used a company to claim PPI he tried himself through the Clydesdale bank and was told twice he did not exist couldn't find any record so a few months ago decided to try again through a company as we didn't have any of the loan paperwork so didn't know any real details other than his old bank account number

The company came back and had found 1 credit card and 3 loans and he received 4 letters from the company each having an account number on them and gave them
Permission

The bank have now came back with a settlement but have also stated they have found another account and offered settlement on that also

Does anyone know where he stands with this? If he hasn't signed this account number to them
Can they still take 33% of this account?

Thanks

Depends on the contract he signed with them.

Some will say that they have permission to look into the accounts detailed and all other accounts held with the business.

Check out the paperwork he signed, and if you have any questions, give the Legal Ombudsman a shout.

Most CMC contracts are such that the customer agrees/signs for the company to represent them in any and all PPI complaints.

To CMC's, clydesdale are called a pre-sub lender which means that even if you put in 1 claim, they will find out if you've had other borrowings with them. If so then the CMC's terms and conditions will state that if claims are successful on all then the fees are based on all claims.
