Hey Guys,

I was unsure where to post but I thought I should try here. Iv recently sustained a permanent eye injury suffering from a blind spot in my central vision and blurry vision in my peripheral vision. It was during a 5 aside game, and was caused by an idiot who I know I could sue but wont (hes a friend). But was wondering if the venue itself should have insurance that I could possibly claim on?

I was also wondering if it entitles me to anything?

The premises will most likely be covered by disclaimers so i would suspect you would not be able to claim

Cheers anyway, its always worth asking. I was just thinking they may be insured, and my payment to play insures me for personal injury.

if you're other eye is unaffected, you have no chance of claiming disability benefits

The only recourse would be with the person who did it, not the venue. They do not control (and you will have signed T&Cs/disclaimers absolving them from blame from other patron's idiocy) nor insure against risk from other patrons.

Unless the injury was caused specifically by the venue (but you've said it was your "friend" so it isn't) then you don't have a leg to stand on.
