ESTA application problems

I'm making an application for myself and my wife and have selected the group option.
First problem is that there are no questions pertaining to my wife.
Second problem is that I declared that I'm not known by any other name, other than my own, and the relevant lines are blanked. But when I get to the review page I'm asked to declare my other names and can't move forward.
Thirdly I've declared I will be in transit to another country and relevant lines are blanked. But when I get to the review page I'm asked for a US address.
I've emailed the US embassy asking for help but am told that could take weeks.
Anyone have a solution?
I'm using Windows XP and wondered if this might be the problem.

Possibly Windows XP, possibly your browser. Try a different one. I would also forget the group application if it is just you and your wife, instead do two individual applications.0

I always do a group one for my husband and I.
Are you on the correct ESTA site?.They should be $14 each I think0 -

Thanks for that. I'm on the right site but still making no sense. Have tried WinXP and 7 with Firefox and Chrome.
