Setting Up a Home Solar Panel Battery Storage Unit System

Hi, all.

It has been a very long time since I've been here, and I hope this is the correct place to put this.

I searched online for the title of this thread. I didn't expect to see the prices they can go for - and on sites I am not familiar with, plus one result was for eBay, which I'd prefer not to buy such a thing from. I'd like to know about the different types of solar panel battery storage units there are and how I could decide which would be the best for my needs - and to get the most brass for my class, of course! Of course, I would also like to know a reputable website I could potentially by one from, preferably a site that I have heard of and am comfortable with. In the future I expect to be using a lot of electricity which will cost a lot, of course, and I want to know that I can afford to pay it, so having the correct one of these will help.

Thanks.

You are better visiting the 'Green and Ethical' section of this forum. This is where the experts hang out and there is a useful beginner's guide.

However should be aware that it is not possible to install a DIY system and claim the subsidies; all systems must be installed(or at least certified) by an MCO registered installer.

Although prices have reduced a great deal, so have the subsidies(FIT) and even at around £4k to £5k for a 4kWp installation it will take a long while to get that investment back.

    Thanks.

Ive used bimble before and happy with what i got. Seem to be reliably cheap prices. And products run from small accessories to complete off grid kits.
