Airport transfers in Italy

First time poster here, hoping someone can help. We've booked a family holiday on the Adriatic coast in Italy. Accommodation is all sorted and we've got budget flights, but all the airport transfers I can find online seem really expensive - more for the transfers than the flights! Any ideas on how to find a better deal?

Have you checked the buses and or trains that run from the airport? as apposed to private transfers that normally works out cheaper0

Having been to Italy a couple of times, I can say the rail network is very easy to use - even with almost zero Italian. Trains run on time and are cheap compared with UK.One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other0

Thanks for your comments, we will look into trains etc, sounds like that might be the way to go.0

Where are you flying into and where are you staying?
Your question is a bit like someone saying they are flying into the uk and staying somewhere historic, why are transfers so expensive.0 -
Yes I see what you're saying. We're flying to Venice and staying in Cavellino. I know Venice is expensive, but the transfers I've found online are 3-4x more than a similar taxi journey to our UK airport. I was hoping someone would be able to point us in the right direction for Italian transfers, rather than specifics for our journey. Any tips anyone has gratefully received!0

Thank you so much for that! I've seen so much good advice given on this site it was my first thought of where to ask. That is really helpful - more than I'd hoped for☺0

It's good that you've sorted things out but would have been much quicker if you'd been more specific on your initial post.0
