Is this the unit that is on the website as professional fit only by qualified refrigeration engineer? If it is...is there an alternative?

This is the portable one - see:

Does anyone know how much these cost to run per hour about?

Also it says you dont need to vent it if you just have it on fan setting still seems cold with just the fan setting how much would just having the fan on cost anyone know?

    Thanks
  • For active cooling on my portable 9000 BTU B&Q one its about 12p an hour (just over one unit). This is worst case as the compressor comes on and off depending on temperature.

The fan only is about 1-2p an hour (~50-200 watts depending on speed)

The fan only moves the air, this will cause a cooling on your skin as the sweat/water/moisture evaporates from your skin taking heat away from your body. A fan generates heat, so a fan in an enclosed room will actually warm the room up (over time).

The dehumdifer function does not need vented

    Air con DOES need vented.

If you use the dehumidifier, you will need to place the supplied hose in the room, rather than outside :D
