Most mortgage insurance complaints fail as you are covering a major debt with lifestyle changing consequences if it goes unpaid.i am now wondering if we had it on car finance or old credit cards but i have no details of these as there where about 10 years or so at least is there anyway i can check my credit report as i thought that only goes back 6 years
Credit record goes back 6 years. After that, you are reliant on your own records and your own memory.
If its car finance and you bought via it via a dealer, then most dealers were not regulated until Jan 05. So, that is broadly in line with your timescale.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
