hi,guys
not sure where to post this question,
purchased two pairs of boxing gloves for my son from sports direct, when i got home found one pair of gloves fitted better, returned the other pair of glove to sports direct, but they would only give me a credit note for the returned gloves, i wanted them to put the money back onto the credit card i used,
do i settle for the credit note OR have i the right to demand the money back to my credit card,
thank for your time guys,

You have no statutory right to a change of mind refund for items bought in store and are subject to their in store returns policy. If that states credit note then that is all you are entitled to.0
-
You can only insist on a refund if the items are faulty or not fit for purpose. Any other refunds or exchanges are at the shop's discretion.0

One of the reasons I will never buy anything from Sports Direct.0

If you told the shop assistant that's why you were buying two pairs, and s/he said they would refund you when you returned the one that didn't fit, that's one thing. In which case, if they are now refusing, you should talk to the assistant who made you that promise.
Otherwise, a credit note is quite reasonable and, as said above, is all you are entitled to.0 -
Actually the credit note is a goodwill gesture. They don't have to do anything0

I'm a little bit surprised the sales person doesn't tell you.
Both times I've bought trainers from Sports Direct, they went out their way to say I could only exchange or get a credit note if I 'changed my mind'.
Maybe I just look like someone who returns items! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Does it say anything on the receipt about a limited returns policy?0
