    The slight disadvantage of window envelopes is that you have to sign all your letters: you can of course scan your signature in and put it on that way, but in the good old days when that was tricky I always preferred to sign the original and photocopy it.

    No way am I signing several hundred letters!

    Plus your printer has to be up to it: depends what kit you've got, but when we used to have a clunky inkjet printer and a laser photocopier, it was a no-brainer to do more copying and less printing. Now we have a laser printer/copier, the argument is not clear cut!
