Depends where your staying and what pubs your in.
Pubs with entertainment on are more expensive.
In michaels bar, we paid 10euros for 1 pint guiness cold, and 1 proper vodka (smirnoff) and proper tonic (can of schwepps) which does 2 drinks. So that is £7
But some pubs do cheaper vodka for 3 euros a shot, and it is about a 75ml.
But this year the ice cubes are massive (honest) so when your getting 2 ice cubes your not getting as much vodka as you think.
there are also bars that do a pint of beer for 1 euro
Meals well there not that expensive, well i don't think.
there are chinese buffets which do all you can eat for 5 euros.
A meal of like steak with chips and salad can be bought for 10 euros
let us know where your staying and i'll point you in some directions for good nights out and cheap drinks.0 -
yes thanks saint chris. my son is looking for a holiday in late november but as they're on a limited budget ( just graduated) they are undecided between AI in somewhere hot like caribbean or going SC in tenerife and using the saved cash for the nightlife out there. Plus as they are only having 7 days tenerife seems more appropiate.0

Right here is my daughters view, as she has been to las americas and did 2 weeks in cuba all inclusive this summer.
cuba loved the beach and the sports on the beach, liked the fact that they were all inclusive, but there was no nightlife, they were watching ballet dancers, and clowns on a night for entertainment.
But enjoyed the holiday and the different culture that they saw when they went out during the day.
Now she said about tenerife she would def go again, as she really enjoyed the nightlife. She stayed near the starco area (this is where the lively bars are for the youngsters) they got a cheap holiday, with budjet accommodation, kids are not that bothered about accommodation. Drinks were a bit expensive in the bars, but they bought a couple of bottles of wine and some vodka before they went out at night. A bottle of vodka is £7 in tenerife. they ate out all the time had breakfast for 3 euros and ate most nights at the all u can eat chinese for £6 euros (well thats kids for you)
have you tried looking at a diy for your son to tenerife, booking flight and accommodation seperate, as it can work out cheaper, and taxis are easily got from outisde the airport.0 -
Thanks saint chris. i have found him flights for 121 each and accomodation from a friend for 250 . So all in all they could have a real good time so now its just a case of pursuading his girl friend.0
