Tissot praise

I had a Tissot titanium watch, which was leaving present from a previous job. I wore it every day, had it for about 14 years and it only ever needed two batteries.
Helping a friend to move furniture I broke it, pulling the crown right out. I took it to a jewellers, they sent it for repair to Tissot. I then had a message to say it was not repairable as they no longer had parts but Tissot would offer a reduced price replacement. I expected to get 10-15% off and thought it wouldn't be worthwhile - but received an email with various options.
I've had to wait a few weeks, but finally received my new watch today, a £240 titanium watch for £107.
I'd still rather have had my old one, because of the sentimental value, but I broke it myself, had it for 14 years and all-in-all I think its a pretty good outcome and very decent gesture from Tissot.
