Illegible description on PCN?

Options
Hi,
I have another PCN reminder from TPS. But the description is illegible.
It says:
"The vehicle did not display a valid pay and display ticket or the ticket xxx xxxxxrge Notice (PCN) was affixed to the vehicle on: "

There is overlapping type and I think it should say "the ticket had expired and a Parking Charge Notice was affixed to the vehicle.."

Also, above this there is a section that says "evidential image" and there is no image!

Is this PCN valid?

Once again, thanks in advance

    Hi,
Thanks, again I was not the driver. I have a teenage new driver daughter that needs to learn some lessons!
Anyway, this is called a "Parking Charge Notice Reminder".
It says " Liability For This PCN lies with the driver of the vehicle".
So I assume tat this is the NTK

    No.

Ntk will be addressed to the keeper, and asking for payment or if keeper not the driver, then to pass on the driver's details

    Yep, it says :
What you should do next: Either:
    1. Pay if you were the driver..
    2. Appeal
    3. Notify us with a valid serviceable address etc...

Read up in the newbies faq thread on how to check if it's a proper NTK and how to reply.

its probably an NTK then , an invoice

assume it has some validity as only a judge can actually decide and you are nowhere near that

so its an invoice and needs to be dealt with so read the NEWBIES sticky thread and deal with it (if this is in england or wales)

The first letter (whatever it is called) is to be treated as the NTK.
So the keeper now appeals, not saying who parked.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry to bother you guys again but having read the NEWBIE thread and the legislation section 8, I cannot believe that all these "errors" are on the NTK. Maybe I have read things wrong.
So the NTK entitled PCN Reminder has
    1. No evidential image.
    2. Overwritten type describing the contravention.
    3. No contravention period but just a time of contravention contrary to section 8 2(a) of the legislation schedule 4.

So do I copy the section in blue in the Newbie thread as my appeal?

You are probably right. You will find other TPS threads where the NTK has of course already been looked at recently; you do not have to do this from scratch, use the forum as it is intended and search for threads like this:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/70501434#Comment_70501434

That gets you ready for the next stage - POPLA, to give you an idea. That poster recently won v TPS on 'unreadable signage' which is ALWAYS a POPLA Appeal point.

So do I copy the section in blue in the Newbie thread as my appeal?

Of course. That's what the current advice thread tells you to do. The registered keeper sends that either by email or online if TPS offer that method of appeal. Sending a letter is not recommended although some PPCs don't offer any other way to appeal.
