PIP and car loans

Hi, new to the forums have a question if anyone can offer any advice my daughter is in receipt of PIP and is looking to purchase a car. She is not working as has a young child and was looking to use the PIP allowance to finance a car loan, anyone have any experience around this. I am looking at the mobility web site to see if this would be suitable , just looking to see what options are available for her to get a car, thanks.

Is she getting Enhanced Rate mobility? This would enable her to access the motability scheme.

Otherwise, I guess it depends on the criteria of lenders.

Any possibility of her starting a car-share arrangmemt with family or friends

  • Its for motorbility allowance.
  • Yes have been looking at the motability scheme. I have sent her a message to see if she is on the enhanced rate mobility.

If she receives the enhanced rate mobility of PIP then she can lease a car with her mobility allowance.

Many lenders WONT solely based upon PIP standard or Enhanced because it goes against responsible lending policy because of Vulnerability.

There will be some that will but the APR will be massive due to the risks involved in taking on such a customer, plus I wouldn't want to deal with anyone who will take PIP as a repayment for a personal loan no morals= no care when the car goes wrong.

EDIT: My advice would be to put some of the PIP cash away for a few months then buy a car with it outright!

If enhanced rate get mobility car.

Is there any chance she might get better thus not needing PIP?

It was not a bash it was to establish if the claim is likely to end ad she would be stuck with finance sh is unable to pay.
