hello
I will be leaving my property until September and i pay for my licence on a monthly basis. Do TV licencng have an option for me to suspend payments until i return ?
I dont really watch that much tv and i think i can survive without the tv . If i tell tv licencing that i no longer watch tv do they come round to inspect the property ? I have 2 tvs in the house (one hasnt been used for about 5 years) If i no longer watch tv but have tvs in my property do i have to pay the licence fee ?

You only pay if you are watching live TV. If you aren't then stop paying. If anyone ever comes to your house tell them to foxtrot Oscar!0

You cannot suspend a Licence as such. You'll need to cancel it and get one when you come back. Refunds of an existing Licence can only be made in full unused quarters.hello

You mean after September?I dont really watch that much tv and i think i can survive without the tv .
There is normally no need to tell them - it is not legally required. In the case of monthly payments, you *do* need to call and cancel, especially if you want a refund. They may call round - it is strongly recommended that you do not let them into your house. Also, do not answer any of their questions, and do not sign anything. If i tell tv licencing that i no longer watch tv do they come round to inspect the property ?
No. It is recommended that you detune any TVs that are, or could be powered-up.If i no longer watch tv but have tvs in my property do i have to pay the licence fee ?0
