At this point I'd write to them stating you wish to remain in the property, you are happy there, look after the place etc and you are happy to pay the increases rent if blah commencing blah. Thank them for their kind invitation but say you want the flexibility of the rolling contract and you wont be signing a new fixed term.

I'd also point out that you won't be entering any further dialogue with them.
You will continue to look after the place and pay the rent on time.

Stand your ground rooster! It's your right to stay on a rolling tenancy unless the landlord wants to evict you.
So sick of letting agents leeching from tenants.
Have you got any opportunity to talk to the landlord directly on this issue?

Could you not just ignore them and pay the higher rent without signing a contract?

I am guessing the LL is not being told the same story...
