    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

A bit of a later posting from me today as it's taken me a while to get my act together. Anyway, I am up and dressed and ready for whatever the day brings.

The girls have been playing computer games all day so I will chase them from the living room in a minute and find them some jobs to do around the house. That will cheer them up no end I have no doubt :D.
Hubby has just come back from a very long walk with Max on the Tarka Trail so is resting his sore feet.

I have shopping being delivered in an hour or so and I am also expecting some clothes to be delivered this afternoon. DD16 went to a team building day at our local college as part of the National Citizenship thingy she is signed up for. I am so so proud of her as she was way out of her comfort zone but she went and even enjoyed herself a lot. I am not so worried about her residential next month and she brought back a kit list so I had a little splurge on some clothes she will need to take with her.

Hubby is cooking tea tonight, well I say cooking, he is making a chicken salad. It's still very warm here today so it will be nice to have some cold food. DD15 is going to make some coleslaw to go with it too.

Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of the day, take care xx
  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Spent part of the morning in my sewing room, I have a bag I want to finish ready for the next meeting..

No gardening, it had rained during the night. OH is off garden duties till Monday....he is having his siesta just now.

A dull day, hope the weather improves as they say it will, fed up with grey days.

It is a year today since we signed for the bungalow, such a lot of changes in the time, especially in the garden. It will soon be 12 months since I got my pacemaker.

I am quite stiff this morning after my toils in the garden yesterday, hope its eased by Monday I need to finish off weeding the herbaceous bed and get the plants in the front.

Liver and bacon for supper today, not too pleased with the liver. I get it from Morrison, two pieces were un usable All the veins etc and no flesh. I will be complaining next time I go. Morrison is the only place I can get pigs liver from. I hate ox and lambs liver.

In preparation for the in laws tomorrow, DH and I have weeded the front and back gardens and I have made the base for a rhubarb crumble with rhubarb from the garden. Off to Tesco for saladings and milk etc in a little while.

DH has just popped to the tip with the garden rubbish.

Now for a Corrie marathon catch up whilst I do the ironing!

Hi chums had a lovely day today and spent a goodly chunk of cash, but well spent and I am very pleased .I can now watch tv without the characters looking as though they were drenched in blood :) My smashing son-in-law Simon ,bless him, spent several hours making sure we got the right one for the right price.Plus i got a really nice chunky low coffee table for it to go on and I have just worked it out that taking into account the rebate from EDF from my gas/electric bills for the past year I have spent about £260.00 odd but have a fantastic set with all the bells and whistles included :)

I am now looking forward to watching Wimbledon on my new set and the colour is really great. The boys all thought 'Good old Gran, she's finally in the 21st century' :):)
It does all sorts of things that apparently are vital to today's technology,I'm just happy that its a nice clear picture, and and the old one is in the boot of my car to be tipped tomorrow.

I went to fill up my car tonight and nipped into the off and treated simon to a bottle of Jack Daniels (his favourite tipple, doesn't have it often so a bottle is for high days and holidays :) I knew he wouldn't take anything for doing all the running around today so it was a little Thank You from me.

He is such a nice chap and rarely treats himself at all, as all his spare cash he ploughs into making sure the boys and DD have enough .

I do appreciate what he goes without for his family though.

Next week I will be seein our lovely Ben as he will be home from Uni and I'm really looking forward to it

Tomorrow as the forecast is good after the tip run we are taking the boys down to Westgate for the day.last weekend we had a smashing time on the beach and the boys love swimming there as its so nice and clean and doesn't get too crowded

Hope evryone has had a good day
    Cheers chums

You have such a marvelous family Jackie. I love reading your stories about them.
My son was going to set up Netflix for me but my TV is too old for the needed equipment to be added.
Boo Hiss! It's time to save for a newer one.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.
