Forcing Landlord to sell Freehold for a block of flats?

I'm hoping someone can just point me in the right direction here, not after all the answers, just the ability to start the process - if it's possible.
I 'own' (I'm a Leaseholder) my flat which is in a small block of 6 flats. The freehold is owned by the company that built the block roughly 30 years ago. They do nothing for the block at all, in fact I don't even have real contact details for them. I, and the other leaseholders, have to deal with a Property Management company. All they do however is collect the ground rent yearly, invoice for the communal electricity and the buildings insurance. There is no maintenance charge for upkeep of the block, we as leaseholders have to sort that all out between each other.
I've been told that there is a legal process for making them sell the freehold to myself and the other leaseholders. I'd really like to get that done.
Could someone please point me in the right direction for how to start that process?
Thanks.

There are three separate options:
1) You (the leaseholders) can take over the role of the management company (Right To Manage). See:
http://www.lease-advice.org/advice-guide/right-to-manage/
2) There is a process for buying the freehold described here:
http://www.lease-advice.org/advice-guide/collective-enfranchisement-getting-started/
3) if the landlord is planning to sell the freehold, he must first offer it to you:

Thanks for the swift reply, are there some links missing from your post?
Is there no legal grounds for making the freeholder sell the freehold?0 -
