Timescale for section 75 claim handling

I partly paid for some windows and doors on a cc.
Some are faulty but the firm have gone bust.
I contacted my cc company about making a section 75 claim and supplied all the info they needed on 3rd March this year.
I've kept asking what is happening but was told they would be in contact "shortly", then in 2-3 weeks (6 weeks ago). Today I rang and was told that because of their backlog my case still hadn't been assigned to a person even to start looking at.
They refused to even give any idea of when it might be looked at.
Does anyone know if cc companies have to work to particular timescales or have any advice how to hurry them up?

A letter before action should hurry them up a little!or have any advice how to hurry them up?
Are you fully satisfied your claim falls within section 75 (amount, D-C-S, etc)? Might be an idea to ascertain this before commencing legal proceedings.0
