We have used currency fair for a number of years now to move money to our account in Spain, exchange rates are always very good and transfer fee is fixed at 3 euro.
Hope this helps0 -
Caxtonfx is efficient, and I have found their exchange rates better than the bank's.0

The Pingit app currently offers free transfers to Europe. It's by Barclays but you don't have to be a Barclays customer to use it.: )0

For smallish amounts:
Exclusive Gold Visa debit card with your 1|2|3 Current Account
You get all the features of our 1|2|3 Current Account plus an exclusive Gold Visa debit card (subject to application), giving you fee-free cash withdrawals at Santander branded cash machines abroad and an increased daily cash machine withdrawal limit of £750 at home and abroad. If you lose your card abroad, we can arrange for emergency cash to be sent to you within 24 hours.
To be eligible for a 1|2|3 Current Account you need to pay a monthly account fee of £5, pay in at least £500 a month and have at least two active Direct Debits.
1|2|3 Credit Card
Plus there are no foreign transaction fees on purchases made abroad when you pay in the local currency. A £3 monthly fee applies.

Pay another person, company or account held overseas
- Send money for just £4, and there's no payment fee at all if you transfer to another HSBC account abroad.
- Send up to £50,000 (or currency equivalent) each day.0 -
