Somehere HOT in October - teneriffe ?

Hi Looking for a weeks holiday - wife and myself - 30 & 29. Want somewhere within 4hrs from UK.

Tenerrife appears to be the most southern part - Has anyone been there in Oct or can you suggest else where .

Want to get something quick - so no hassle for getting visa etc.

    Lanzarote in Oct is lovely

Around 27c is the average and I prefer it to Tenerife

    We are going this Oct
  • I would recommend the Red Sea, Egypt. You don't need to get your visa before you leave you buy it at the airport when you land. I think it's 12.00. You need the exact money because they won't give you change. I recommend a ten pound note and two one pound coins. Buying a visa at the airport is an experience, there are about 4 desks just as you come off the plane into arrivals (before passport control) and everyone rushes forward, it's a free for all! You can also use US dollars or Egyptian pounds, but beware of being ripped off for change. The flight is about 5-6 hours. I'm not sure of visa requirements for non UK passport holders but I know there are several desks at the airport for various nationalities.

Cyprus is also lovely in October, been many times, flight is only 4-4 1/2 hours.
