I'm intrigued by your post (and others like this I have to admit)! I appreciate that you are just trying to get people's opinion from those that have had similar work done but why do you consider it not fair?0

My Mom needed a new shower recently and, because it was more powerful than her previous one, it had to have new cabling to it. We bought the cable which cost £50 from Clearlight and my hubby wired it up for her.
It all depends on the amount of cable you need and then the labour cost for the person fitting it.
Sounds like it is a reasonable price to me.
