Hi,
I'm no IT whizz at all and I'm wondering if anyone can solve this mystery for me please?
Why does my mum's email addy not let me reply? She sends me an email and I hit reply and the mail sends off but soon after I get a msg saying 'undeliverable address not known'. How can it be unknow if she has successfully sent me a msg?
If I 'create new mail' and take away one of the first letters, it sends ok? Bizarre.
She only set up today and the ISP person on the phone told her the addy was xxxxx@xxxxx which is the one I can successfully send on, but the ones she is sending with won't let me reply.
Please does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

What e-mail program is your Mum using to send e-mail as it is likely this program is responsible for the bogus address (spelling mistake maybe).0

Godders is right. Your Mum will have got the "reply address" set up wrong.
If she is using Outlook Express then on the top menu pick:
"Tools"
then "Accounts..."
select the one that has a type of "mail (default)"
then hit the "Properties" button.
You will see a screen showing "Email address" and "Reply address". Correct the reply address taking away the extra letter as you have been doing, then click on "OK".
If it's another email program the principle is the same but the navigation through the menus will be different.0 -
Thanks both, very muchShanni0
