"Martin Lewis" helping my mother-in-law with PPI claim

I think I know the answer to this but can someone confirm that Martin Lewis does not personally deal with PPI claims. I have just heard that my mother-in-law has been talking to him on the phone regarding a claim and I smell a 30%-taking rat....

Any one who cold calls you is out to scam you.

MSE / Martin Lewis do not cold call, or have anything to do with PPI claims.

Find out who this company is using the Martin Lewis name and report them to the Ministry Of Justice.

Martin Lewis has spent a lot of time publicising the fact that PPI complaints are simple and free. No one needs to employ a claims management company...

He is not authorised to deal with claims . Some dodgy CMCs have used his name or the website name previously.

Please report this to the claims regulator and also find out and tell us the true name of the scumbags, which will be on any documentation she has been sent.

It's quite possible she was. There are probably hundreds of people called 'Martin Lewis'. There's a good chance that at least one of 'em works for a CMC.
