Humane killing

There seems to be more slugs than usual this year, my seedlings have no chance to grow. Slug hunting after dark and snipping their heads off with scissors, but has anyone a better or more humane method? Trying to avoid pellets (they can poison slug predators and birds) and not cause undue suffering, even to the slugs.

Pick them up and stick them in the wok with a bit of garlic and oil.0

Put them in a jar and do a release out in the country ( or the garden of someone you don't like ).
Snipping heads of with scissors a bit weird though...!I am a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages, Protection, Health and Medical Insurance. I also write wills. All information posted on this site is for discussion only, and should not be taken as advice.0 -
