Mixer Tap Dribbling, Any Ideas?

Our kitchen mixer tap has suddenly developed a constant dribble. It didn't start as a drip and then get worse, just straight away a stream. We have taken it apart and the washers seem fine so we are not sure what to try next. Can anyone help please.
Thanks

I'd still try changing the washers as a precaution- http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/taps/repairing_mixer_tap.htm
If it still drips then you can check the seats, where the washer pushes against it to seal as it may be pitted. If it is you can regrind it using a tap reseater tool.0 -
Our taps have levers rather than twisty taps, could it be that one of them is not closing properly. I can't see anything about levers on the handyman website.0

Hi
Do you have quarter turn taps? If this is the case then you more than likely have ceramic discs not old style rubber washers. The solution to that is a new cartridge ,for that you need to know the make of the tap if possible. Let us know !

I think they are quarter turn thingys, you push the little lever back to turn them on. They are like cylinders with the little stuck out bit that you push. Inside was a white plastic assembly with black rubber rings which I assume are the washers. I didn't see anything ceramic looking

I cannot see a make on them at all.

Hi
See if you can match it with something here... Lunns 01252 548711

Thanks for the links, it looks like the very first white plastic one I think. The shop, Lunns, is about two minutes from my work, how freaky is that:eek:
I suppose I could take one in and get a new one on Tuesday (don't work monday). I think it is the hot side, or should I change both really to be sure.
Thanks so much for your help on this. :T0 -
Hi
That's handy!! Hope you get it sorted on Tuesday if they are reasonably priced then get one as a spare, tie it to the pipe under the sink somewhere visible?
