Kicked off ESA. Options?

If you are going to appeal your ESA decision then you should have told the advisor.
This may mean you are not entitled to claim UC (depends on your area) but you would have to claim JSA instead. Personally I would give them a call if you are going to appeal and ask them how you claim JSA instead of UC if they say you can't claim UC whilst waiting for an appeal.
You will not be left with no benefits and with JSA you should get your money a lot quicker.0 -
The website didn't give me the option. It said that something like JSA is being phased out and replaced with universal credit.
I will ask tomorrow though when i speak to the advisor, its just that today was just an evidence appointment, so i wasnt being signed up for anything. I'll ask whether or not i could claim jsa instead, and will appealing the esa decision prevent me from signing on. if it does, i'll probably just have to sign on anyway, because i am desperate for that advance payment to cover my rent deficit and bills unfortunately.0 -
So this is what we have to look forward to in northern Ireland?
The UC thing does seem overly complicated. Surprised they didn't scrap it when IDS a omitted his insurrection.0
