Buy domain names for the kids

I have two children who are 3 and 7 and am keen to buy their domain names for future use. That is https://www.bob_regis1.com and https://www.bob_regis2.com.
I know that in ten years domain names may be redundant but wanted to take a little risk.
I can see that they are still available but wanted an easy way to manage it and looking at the various options they all look pretty complicated.
Ideally am after mail forwarding and a catch all email address. Anyone have any recommendations of a service provider who is reliable and honest etc...

You will no doubt get lots of recommendations here based on folks experiences and individual needs.
Personally, I have used Heart Internet for a few domains without issue and also Namecheap in the USA who supply UK domains. Both these provide email forwarding with catch all.
One thing you may not be aware of is that a few months back, Nominet, the UK Domain Agency substantially raised the costs for all it's domains. This cost will of course be passed on to the customer via the registrar.
This makes owning a domain more expensive now but you may be able to negate some of that by pre-paying for perhaps five or ten years.0 -
Quick question : How much are these domain names worth to you ??
## Nips off to register them for a nice profit , mwahahaaaaa

I can see that https://www.andypix.com is still available. Ha ha.
Seriously, reading around this it seems that it is best to not search using godaddy etc for available domains as they then buy the domains forcing you to buy it off them.

I use domain monster to park domains, but they don't support catch all e-mail forwarding as it's bad for spam.
You're using the windows file naming system to name your kids?

Easily.co.uk have been around forever, and I've used them since the 90's, tsohost also seem perfectly reliable and there's a thread in referrers part of the site for 10% off some already reasonable hosting deals0

I've been with 123-reg for years with no problems. I have friends using 1&1, also without issue.0

If you want to buy them names, shouldn't you buy their names? It's for nothing as far as they're concerned, but why do they want your name?Advent Challenge: Money made: £0. Days to Christmas: 59.0

I second Domain monster, got several domains with them.
You can't have an underscore in a domain name, OP.0
