Car Lease Advice

Hi all,

My 3 year lease of my Mercedes C Class ends on the 1st of July. Is it worth me getting jobs done on the car (e.g. alloys reburbished, minor chips sorted etc) before I hand the car back or will they consider things like this to be normal wear and tear?

Also, apparently I can sell the car myself - something called Car Lease disposal? How does it work?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Nick

Have a read of your agreement, if you leased the car then it will never be yours. If you have an option to pay a balloon payment at the end then see what its currently worth, if its more than the balloon payment then get a loan and buy it then sell it for more, or keep it.

On your agreement you will read about fair wear and tear, if your wear and tear/damage is as described then only get the damage repaired properly not done on the cheap as when the car goes back they will try and charge you for it.

The bvrla produce a booklet trying to determine fair wear and tear, which should match with what your lease comoany should assess.
