Single trip insurance end date

I'm booking single trip travel insurance for a long weekend in Ukraine.

I'm back on 19th June, but what if flights are canceled and I end up still being there on the 20th and perhaps beyond?

Would my insurance then be expired or do they typically cover such scenarios?

My policy specifically says that cover is extended in the event of delays getting home. If you can't find it on your policy docs give them a call.

Ukraine might raise a few eyebrows with some insurers (and their premiums).
