A little advise please?

Hi all

Just need a little advise here, i sold a computor game on ebay which was brand new and still sealed in its case, the buyer paid and i posted the item, they then email me a week later to say it did not work, i mail back and say return it for me to check and i will refund. simple i thought but no
two weeks later i get more emails saying i am a rip off that i am selling fake goods and they want all there money back or they will acccept a different game!
The other problem is they have bloked me from sending them emails through ebay & my email address (i get a message every time i try) i have to go to another email address i have, to email them.
What do you think i should do? They seem to think i should send the refund or a replacement game, which i don't have and then they will return the broken one!
thanks in advance for any help
Lolly

I would do nothing now. You offered refund upon return. Worse comes to worse and they neg you - put that in your response. If your feedback is otherwise good - it shouldn't put people off. However, is it possible that your original offer of refund has not reached them - you say your e-mails are not getting through. have you got a contact number for them from you orignal invoice? phone them and tell them - refund on return.

Whilst I really try and do anything to please my buyers I do feel my obligation stops as soon as a buyer gets aggresive in tone.

As for blocking your mail, it probably isn't the buyer that has done that just a blip in the system (again). AOL are particularly noted for refusing ebay emails, if you really want to sort this out with the buyer either phone him or send him a snail mail letter. If not, and assuming he didn't pay by paypal and can do a chargeback, ignore him and take the negative.

Sounds like they're trying it on. If you give a refund or send another game before you receive the first back, I very much doubt you will see your game or your money again.

I would call their bluff - send them an email through the account that isn't being blocked, and offer a refund if they send the game back to you. Tell them you are happy to give a refund, but will only do this if you receive the game back first.

Chances are they will refuse as they're probably playing it right now.

Also, if you've not already done so, don't leave any feedback, this will act as a deterrent to stop them leaving you a neg. Don't forget to add them to your blocked bidders list.

Is there anything in their feedback profile (especially what they've left for other people) which indicates that they've done this before?

I agree with the above. They should have sent the item back. I certainly would not block a sellers emails - unless they were aggressive. If buyers get aggressive with me then I just withdrawl any help and leave them to stew in it.If it would make you feel better you could try sending an email through a seperate email address, as suggested just incase their email is acting up.Try ticking the box that says you want a response when the email is recieved.
If you get no joy - tough you tried and they sound like they are probably trying it on. You cant please all of the people, so dont fret too much. Keep all your corespondance for referance incase of an ebay complaint.

Looks like they're trying it on for sure, maybe best to avoid and take a hit with the negative if you think you're getting nowhere, don't leave your -ve until they've left theirs. Tell them the game was in perfect working cond when you posted it, if they won't return it not a lot you can do.
