Crunchy Nut - ludicrously tasty and ludicrously expensive!

My sons have just discovered the Crunchy Nut cereal so I went in search of an own brand version but cannot find one anywhere. Does anyone know of anyone that does it or currently has it in special offer, please? I had just stocked up on Weetabix when it was on offer as they eat loads of that but now suddenly it won't do. I am loath to pay full price for such an expensive product and usually buy own brand versions anyway so am a bit worried!
Anyone any ideas that might help would be appreciated. Sorry if this is on the wrong board etc, I really struggled to know where to put it so mods please feel free to move to a more appropriate area!:o

Sorry I don't Crunchy Nut but I wondered if there was any store near you that sells the ingredients loose so you could make up your own.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

I'd try to get them to have the stuff only occasionally as the crunchy nut is more than half sugar. That will help keep the cost down, too.0

Look here:
http://www.kelloggs.co.uk/products/crunchynut/Cereal/crunchy_nut_.aspx#
- ther are 5 different sugars in there - and almost no honey....0 -
Read the consumer advisory and it said you can get a refund on some batches as they may taste strange. The date on my packet was out by just 18 days - would have been a good way of getting some money back on it!:podds-n-sods wrote: »0 -

Asda do their own brand Crispy Nut Cornflakes at £1.40 for 750g and Honey Nut Cornflakes at 99p for 500g. I haven't tried them so don't know if they're like the Kellogg's ones.Dum Spiro Spero0

Difficult .... Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are ludicrously addictive (says a former addict
)..... however, they are dreadfully bad for you. I have to say I would attempt to "wean" them off the idea, rather than finding lower cost substitutes .... however "good luck" .... GC - March 2024 -0 -
I agree that they are totally packed with sugar but some people do love them. I buy the Aldi version for my sister and she eats them without complaint, they are a lot cheaper than kelloggs!

Tesco do their own version, not had them so can't comment on how much they taste like Kellogs.
Why not buy a box and stick them in the empty kellogs box,I'm sure if you say nowt they might not notice.Gonna try this soon with ds2 who's got a thing about special k.replace it with tesco own version...:D
