Granite offcuts for bathroom

Hi

Does anyone know where i can get offcuts of granite? to be delivered to the SE

I need 3 small pieces of granite (or quartz) to go around a bath and on top of toilet cistern. Was hoping to get 'offcuts' to make it cheaper

approx
2m x 120mm
900mm X 200mm
850mm x 230mm

Thanks!

    They aren't that small!

You may find offcuts at local granite worktop suppliers (have you heard of Google?), but expect to pay the going rate for them, especially if you want them edged.

Our local stonemasons has a skip full of offcuts that they are happy to give away as it's cheaper than paying to have the skip removed. However, I've never seen anything even remotely the size you're after.

I was going to say exactly the same, they are sizable chunks that will still have value,

Find a granite supplier in your area and go visit, you might have a wait until they only need 3/4 of a slab for a job, but please don't expect anyone to delivery remnants, it simply wouldn't be worth their while.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Offcuts also have value so dont expect to get it for nothing. And they arent as small as you think so dont expect that its a doddle to lift and handle them

We got an off cut for our bathroom.

Trick is, is not to be set on a colour. I took along a floor a wall tile and said anything they had which would look good. I got a 3ft length for £50

It also helped that the place I went to had done our kitchen :)

Those bits are not small and I doubt you will make any savings , plus you have to transport it.

A 2m length will also need some support. Granite is fragile if not fitted correctly. You would be best letting them come and template and fit

    This ^

When we were building an island for the kitchen at our last house we needed a piece of granite approx 1600mm x 900mm. Matching a colour wasn't an issue as we were fitting iroko worktops.

We went to a granite supplier that advertised offcuts on their website and selected a piece from a wide range stacked up in the yard, but still ended up paying in excess of £700 inc delivery by the time the edges were cut/polished etc.
