Hi I'm just wondering if any one has any idea if there is going to be another, I'm with eon and had UK power collective offer but that was more than I'm paying now, and it was with the same company eon.
But Scottish power have a 2yr tariff and it nearly the same as Im paying now, apart from a 4p extra standing charge, but I've been with Scottish power before and really don't wanna have the problems I had again lol.

Don't be seduced into thinking that collective switches now offer the cheapest energy deals. The energy market is - in terms of prices - close to the bottom given that the cost of oil is rising. My advice would be separate suppliers based on a kWh comparison. I have been with Zog and GBEnergy for over 5 months and there hasn't been a collective switch which has offered a lower cost deal.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm on e7 all electric, I'm just trying to get a good deal on electric for the coming winter, it's a really good deal with SP, iv just phoned them but there is a problem with my property as I used to be on restricted hours in 2012 and they need to update there system again, I'm thinking I will go over to them as 2yr deal no exit fee is really goodThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I,m similer to you all elec on eco 7 on Eon sept mse, got another few months yet before I need to switch, Ive had a few other collectives come in but the only one which beats Eon is SP only by £20, but if I switch now I will pay exit fee of £30 so no point
I can switch 21st july so alittle way to go yet, unless another cheap eon fix comes along
I think we all got excited with the sudden influx of eon fixes until the dreaded "21" came along I think it was when it came out over £200+ more expensive than the "20"

one thing I have noticed about the big six suppliers, is that they are losing their grip on the cheapest deals of late,
it seems all or most of the smaller companys are cheaper and theres only about 1 maybe 2 of the big 6 in the top 20 cheapest deals (at least for me anyway)
think their time of controlling the market is coming to an end0 -
After a bad experience with one of the smaller companies I prefer to stay with E.on now. They worked out the cheapest and their online service is excellent.0

Hi I have been with E-on for over a year now and agree the on-line system and customer service is very good.
Just a word of caution ,make sure you test and test again the new system before it goes live.
I was with the Co -Op energy when they decided to upgrade their systems and it never worked correctly ( as posts on this site demonstrate ) after the update.
I would hate to see E-On going the same way.0 -
Good advice FOREVER21. We're taking a softly softly approach and looking to make the website more user-friendly building on the feedback we've had from both customers and colleagues. Don't worry, it won't be a total revolution. More of a different way of offering our online services. The basics, like entering meter readings, the Direct Debit Manager, making payments, creating bills etc, won't change in as much they'll still be available as now. They may just be presented in a different way.
Quite a few colleagues with online E.ON accounts have volunteered to be guinea pigs to try out the new format before releasing to all our customers. Helena and I have volunteered, too, so we can add our comments and be better placed to advise Forum users should any of you have any queries or criticisms.
As you say, we're going to test and test again before the new format goes live. Hope this eases your concerns a little FOREVER21 and glad you like the current online service.

Hi Malc,
As you know I was very reluctant to go for monthly DD because of my bad experience with my previous supplier. However have now gone onto DD monthly and could not be happier. I give them readings every month and like the flexibility of being able to adjust the amount I pay. I always go for the maximum and so far working well in my favour.
Great news regarding improvements to your online system but for me it does everything I want.0 -
Thanks Mable. Really pleased you like the payment arrangement and the flexibility the Direct Debit Manager gives you. Also means you have lower daily standing charges. Bonus.
Following the upgrade, you'll still be able to do all the things on our website you do now but, hopefully, you'll find it a bit more user friendly. Please let me know if you don't or you've any criticisms or suggestions. Always happy to feed these back to our website boffins.
