Hi,
Bit of a long shot please?
We have a beko oven that been fine til now but as the warranty has just expired its died a death. Model OIF 21300
Im told the clock/timers go on these quite often and this is the root of the evil? No timer no functions.
Powers def there as theres a tiny fan on top I can see working (this is not in the oven itself ) and the clocks on. Google has suggested that the oven clock needs setting ( I think I've now done this ) or its stuck in 'auto' mode hence nothing works as its on a timer. Is there a reset?
As I said long shot but someone might know?
Cheers,
CR

Don't think there is a reset but most ovens these days need the clock setting before first use or after a power down, otherwise nothing functions.
Just to add, i've not got a downer on any product brand with 1 exception, and that's Beko. We have had Beko washers and fridges, all have failed prematurely.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Here is a link to the manual. You need page 18/19. We used to have an oven that, if you left it half in the auto mode, it would not work and there was a cancel/reset to go to manual, I think it was a picture of a hand.
Anyway, that aside, what doesn't work? You have a fan, oven and grill. When you turn the function wheel, does anything work? If the oven is locked out due to the auto timer, the grill should still work. Grill normally only works if the door is open. Have you inadvertently hit key lock?0 -
no its all off except the clock ( which isn't flashing so time appears set ) and theres a very small fan that blows on top off the oven that's working ( not the main fan inside the oven. ). That top fan will only run when one of the functions is selected. I don't think its the heat temp switch as Im sure the light used to come on without heat. Ours doesn't need the door shut to grill.
No lights, grill, fan, oven or light for thermostat 'ready' - really odd
As far as we know weve turned off the key lock and even tried running down the auto timer.

If it is just outside warranty as you say, can you go back to the retailer under your consumer rights?
It should last a reasonable amount of time.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

That's a good point, many manf will honour failures just outside warranty as a "good will gesture":TI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
