Well done on the weight loss Mila.
I can never understand why I can sometimes lose weight and another time it just seems to stick. Hopefully it will start shifting now.
I live in a house with so much clutter, but I have to get over the feeling that by getting rid of it I am wasting money. I think I will try to sell some of my stuff, but if I can't it will have to go anyway.
Welcome to our journey. I've come to believe that it doesn't matter when we begin - it matters that we do begin.0 -
Hi Lesson learned - you are so right about wasted money.
I hope to finish the book either tonight or tomorrow - then off I go. It seems as though, as people shed their unloved possessions, that they shed a lot of stress as well and start to think clearly about what is important. I definitely need that.
Congratulations on your win. Do you have a destination in mind for the near future or is it a trip of a lifetime?0 -
I have got a couple of trips booked for next year........
A month in Cyprus mid Feb/mid March - purely to get away from the winter.
Then a cruise round the Baltic in May. I did a cruise round the Caribbean last November.
I definitely intend to travel a bit over the next few years whilst I am still fit enough. I shall be 65 next month, I don't want to leave it too long just in case. Time enough to sit knitting and watching daytime TV when I'm in the nursing home........:rotfl:
I have been looking at RTW tickets for 2017 or 2018. I have always wanted to go to South America and guess what, my son has just married a girl from Venezuela.
Fortuitous or what - must be good karma;)
Her parents are wonderful and I have been invited to stay with them .......so just need to save my pennies.
So as you can see I am hoping that the downsizing and lack of spending on stuff will help me make my travel dreams come true.
My goal is a simple life, free from clutter and stress, but full of experiences, adventures and fun times.
Ps a lot of people who have posted on the Kondo thread have said how proper decluttering has been a life changer.0 -
Great news on the weight loss Mila.
Join us on our weight loss and decluttering journey.
Each of us will emerge from our chrysalis of clutter as glorious gossamer butterflies.......:D0
