Cut Satellite Cables

Hi all,
A question regarding replacing satellite wires that I could do with some advice on.
I moved into a flat 3 years ago and the corner of the lounge had metres of coiled brown wires lying on the floor. My non-too-bright 24 year old self decided to just cut them off at the entry point to the flat to get rid of the clutter.
Turns out these were the satellite/Sky cables that run outside, up the side of the flat (along with everyone else's wires) and into a box before heading off up to the satellite.
We're now moving out and I'm wondering what to do. Way I look at it we could do one of two things:
1. Do nothing, hope the landlord doesn't notice during exit inspection and that he new tenants don't notice as they don't want sky. We're moving abroad though so dealing with replacing them will be tricky, and will likely leave us having to accept their quote for replacing.
2. Tell the landlord in advance and hope they agree that it will be up to the new person to sort, depending if they want sky or not. I guess if we got new wires installed and then the new person doesn't want it then they will have the same problem as us!
Any advice would be much appreciated, as would any thoughts on whether it would be up to sky to install, or the building management company? Also any ideas on costs to install?
Thanks,
Ben

How much is left inside ?
If your lucky their might be enough too let you mount a box and faceplate
Something like this :

And pick up a couple lengths of satellite cable and connectors and leave it behind.
If not it should only cost a few quid and a tall ladder to replace the cables with longer lengths...Laters

Ah that would have worked but the wires are pretty much flush to the wall.
I thought about just changing them myself but the wires are bundled up and secured to the wall along with the wires from the flats around us, so I'm kind of wary of making things even worse if i try to do it myself!0 -
If the new tenants want Sky, Sky themselves would just come and install new wires if the old ones are unusable. It's not really something you should worry about too much. I had unused Sky cables coming into my room when I first moved here. But I knew I might want Sky in the future so I kept them and tucked them away.
New wires is a part of standard Sky installation anyway. I wouldn't bring it up with your landlord, if he asks tell the truth, but Sky won't charge anyone for a new wires if it's free installation anyway (like they offer to all new customers)0
