A company has just put through three transactions that were made on my card in February! Are they allowed to do this does anyone know?

Transactions you authorised that haven't been paid before?

Yes they are. February isn't that long ago. Hopefully you noticed they hadn't been paid and they didn't cause any problems with card limits.

Rule of thumb is that up to 6 months is acceptable without notice, after that up to 6 years but notice should given first.

Thanks all. Company obviously made an error and put them through late but a bit annoying! Not for much so didn't cause me any issues thankfully!

No, money can't be taken with just a notice. A new authorisation is needed.

Whilst I can see it's annoying for some people to have the actual sum debited late, it's the business that has suffered the cash flow disadvantage.

If people track their expenditure properly then they have the benefit if the cash for a bit longer but many people don't.
